I grew up in Mangalore, India. I received my B.E in Chemical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (formerly REC Surathkal) in 1995. I went to graduate school at the Carnegie Mellon University where I received my Masters of Information Science from the Heinz School in 1999. I have worked in industry for over ten years at Infosys, Barclays Capital, Bank of America, and Pitney Bowes. I am currently working as a Senior Web Programmer at Amherst College.

My interests lie in database and web programming, performance issues, and e-commerce technologies. I have consulted for Fortune 1000 companies as well as startups on projects related to these issues. More information is available on my consulting page at Anera Systems.
